so, as you know, been operating on assumption I had a twenty page limit for the Memorandum and Points of Authorities in the First Amended Petition, and this weekend found out I only have fifteen pages, and if I need more I'd have to contact the court, get an exparte date to ask the judge to exceed the page limit; I'd have to notify opposing counsel, have to make a new filing, and draft an order for the judge to sign. I don't have the funds, the shirt I wore June 16 got mildew on it from being outside--so a new shirt and a cleaner's bill to steam the jacket and press the tie. good gawd. good news is I put my two latest ai conversations to work and today was able to remove everything that was either duplicated or not relevant at this stage, all the stuff where I was ego, layin it on thick, it's all gone now. in the public interest the pleading is much more effective and concise in its arguments now. so there's that.... gonna file the 29th so time to perfect it even further. it's amazing to me how getting back from the library with the new writ in hand, going over it with a red pen, I'm still finding little things to improve either in clarity or style; it's a giant poem in the public interest.
and then behind all that, is the Malibu Art Association, where the board wants to say they're too tired, nobody cares, and they're gonna make MAA a thing of the past. more on that later.
