 Ever want to make jaws drop of anyone who thinks themselves a philosopher, ask them what they think of Nietzsche, he’s like a gateway to "serious" discussion. And when they articulate their understanding, reply: Nah, he chose aristocracy over democracy, saying monotheism had castrated humanity, democratized it, and we were now waiting for super humans to return us to aristocracy. Advocates for aristocracy as an approach to existence, rather than democracy, forget that in a field there are lots of things going on which result in flowers; aristocracy plays the flowers but history has shown rarely have they, as a class of humans, ever been but venial scum.
