Poem

Komorebi

Don’t you know?

Haven’t you got it?

The Japanese word for the magic

majesty

of sunlight through

the trees

aligns perfectly

with the photo

from the Cassini craft,

of slender vertical structures,

ice miles high off

Saturn's main ring,

like rain-matted fur

on a wolf’s back,

casting long dikes,

shadow against light

on an equinox

and solstice,

in the morning

and again

before the sun sets,

just above the ground.
